The Gryphons Soccer Club (GSC) management team comprises an enthusiastic and dedicated group of parents. The team serves to oversee our programs, and to develop new initiatives to meet our collective goals and objectives.

Matt Zucca


Matt Zucca Mr. Zucca is an environmental engineer specializing in water and stormwater quality and management of municipal capital improvement projects. Mr. Zucca has played soccer since he was young and became more involved as his two daughters began playing competitive soccer. He found that coaching and club management is a great way to stay involved and help guide a club. He has thoroughly enjoyed helping to build the Gryphons Soccer Club and is proud of the opportunities the club has given his children and children in the community.

Rebecca Mendenhall


RMendenhall-photo Ms. Mendenhall, has close to 25 years of finance, accounting, and operations performance management experience in both the high tech industry and municipal government. A native of Nebraska, she grew up playing soccer and loves the sport. With three children, she has enjoyed volunteering for many youth athletic programs and values the enjoyment, self-discipline, and confidence they have given her kids. Ms. Mendenhall became involved with the Gryphons in 2007 when her daughter joined the Club at age 7, followed by her son a year later at the age of 5. He is the longest tenured player in the boys’ program! Asked why she continues to stay involved the club, Ms. Mendenhall responded, “The Gryphons/Force North Soccer Club has been like family for us for many years. The kids are great. The families are welcoming. The soccer training and curriculum are unmatched, and my kids have become amazingly skilled and talented athletes as a result. This Club does not develop just good soccer players; it builds strong, confident, well-rounded athletes. And my kids have made special, powerful friendships here — an identity beyond school.”
