Dear NorCal Premier Soccer Families,

Today we would like to reach out to all of you with a moving short story. Miranda Bosley (Gryphons 98G - player #29), a great kid and a beautiful family, loved playing soccer until one day what appeared to be a small bump on her wrist turned out to be a serious illness.

Miranda fought a rare type of cancer for the past three years with determination and faith. She never gave up, and her tremendous courage gave us all hope for a while, but unfortunately she passed away last week while at home with her family. Miranda just turned 12 years old.

NorCal would like to respectfully request that all games played this coming Saturday Sept. 11th observe a brief moment of silence prior to kick off in Loving Memory of Miranda Bosley.

A memorial service will take place this Saturday Sept. 11th at 10:30am at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in San Mateo, service is open to everyone. Donations can be made to the Borel Middle School: Miranda Bosley Fund to sponsor the Music and the Arts programs. Please mail them to 42 Oak Valley Rd., San Mateo, CA 94402.
