The Gryphons Soccer Club (GSC) is a non-profit organization (Tax Id # 94-3213657) that promotes competitive soccer for youth ages 8 through 18 on the San Francisco Peninsula in California. GSC has 15 teams in the U8 to U12 age groups, each playing in the Norcal Premier Soccer league, a US Club sanctioned league serving teams in Northern California.

GSC is dedicated to the development of a player's skills, sportsmanship, self confidence, and ability to work on a team. We strive to create an environment where players develop their soccer abilities while enjoying themselves and learning to love the best game on the planet! For Gryphons players, this environment is challenging and inspiring. It is also fun! A core goal is to prepare them for the future, both on and off the field. We focus on teaching our players soccer fundamentals including technical and tactical skills like ball handling, passing, receiving, and positioning. Our goal is allow each child to grow not only as a soccer player, but also as a person.

GSC is committed to providing the best soccer educators and programs to ensure that players have a solid foundation upon which they can improve and develop. Each GSC team is coached by nationally licensed professional coaches, the majority of whom have played soccer at the college level, and many of whom have played soccer internationally. At each practice, coaches incorporate exercises and drills to develop individual skills, as well as small group play to develop team play.

Since the Club was founded in 1992, we have grown both in numbers as well as in team and individual achievements. In the fall of 2009, we have 164 players playing on 15 teams. We have 125 pre-team players. We have 15 coaches, a part-time Director of Coaching, and a full-time Director of Programs. As an organization, we are a volunteer-led non-profit business. We have professional business processes, a very hard-working board, and a dedicated and enthusiastic parent-base that is always willing to help, be it with fundraising, marketing, or website development ;-) Our Gryphons families love our club and if you are looking for a great club for your child, please check us out!
