Darren Huckerby (a.k.a. "Hucks") is a legend in the English Leagues and recently signed for the San Jose Earthquakes winning the accolade of MLS Newcomer of the year in his first season. Darren has won 2 league Championships for Norwich City and Manchester City and played in the Champions league for Leeds United. The Gryphons Soccer Club was honored to have Huckerby visit with the 00 Boys last week. He watched them play and answered some questions afterward. Huckerby brought player cards, took photos, and signed autographs for the kids. Huckerby commented that the boys showed great ability and potential. He was particularly impressed with the quality of coaching for players at such a young age. The Gryphons are looking forward to having Huckerby return to visit with players in our Summer Camps.
